KFJC 89.7FM is an occasionally acclaimed radio station broadcasting from Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California, USA. One might encounter: Psychedelic rock; bubblegum pop for ladies and gentlemen of easy leisure; high wafting drones; instructional programming such as how to have an affair or improve your golf grip; herpetological field recordings; minimal and maximal electronica; therapeutic and locked grooves; hammond organ; daftly funk; purring; surf guitar; chanting monks of several religious persuasions; far-flung sacred music; squeaky beds; beatnik cutup poetry; prewar blues; Ethiopian Jazz sparring sea lions; Americana; 60 minute sine waves; 420 varieties of reggae; theremin ensembles; footstompin, hoottootin West Texas swamp thrash metal; New Orleans street marching bands; garbage bin percussion; funerary violin and foreign language covers of top 40 hits from decades ago... spun with beating-heart affection from vinyl, CD and even cassette, or emanating live from the pit several times a week.
